"In order to have true beauty there must be at least a minor flaw"
I agree with this statement because people who are truly beautiful are not completely perfect. They have flaws, just like everyone else. This also helps less beautiful people feel better about themselves because they realize that no one is perfect. And when they decide to get surgery to correct those flaws, they lose their uniqueness and usually end up looking fake and uglier then they did before. People should embrace their flaws as characteristics that make them unique from everyone else. Beauty is not perfection, it is accepting your imperfections and individuality.

Superpower!
If I could have any super power it would be the ability to transport myself anywhere in the world at any given moment. I chose this power because there are so many times throughout my day that i say something like "man...I wish I was in Hawaii right now" or "I wish i was at home in bed right now". Also, one of my goals in life is to travel around the world, because i loove traveling and seeing new places. So i think it would be really cool if instead of going through all the trouble of saving up money, packing, and getting on a plane or bus, it would be really awesome if I could just be anywhere in the world anytime I want.
What to blog about??
I think you already have some pretty good ideas, with the music and movie reviews and commenting on stories that we read. There really isn't much else to blog about... People in the class can also give ideas as we go, as new events happen around the world that we can comment on. And as far as marking, I think that as long as we complete the blog and write a logical, thoughtful response, we should just get full marks :)
Ignorance is Bliss
Everybody reacts differently when they hear about something bad that has happened or is happening. Some people choose to ignore it and not do anything about it because they believe it doesn't affect them. Others become very upset about it, and do eveything in their power to make others aware of the problem and try to fix it. I can't really put myself in either of these categories because it depends on what the problem is. If it is something that has been happening for years, and is happening very far away (like the starving people in Africa) i know that everyone is already aware of it, and there really isn't much that I alone can do to help, so I usually don't really do anything about it. But if it is a new problem, that not many people are aware of and I think it's very serious, I will tell everyone I know about it, and do whatever I can to help.
